Every Sunn piece is created with a carbon-invisible footprint. Since 2020, we have balanced 100% of our emissions by investing in certified global climate projects, ensuring our presence on this planet has a net-zero impact.
But neutrality is just the beginning.
In 2022, we elevated our commitment by joining the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), a global framework that aligns corporate climate action with scientific reality. This isn’t about just offsetting; it's about fundamentally reducing our emissions at the source.
The SBTi has officially validated our ambitious, science-backed targets:
- A 42% reduction in emissions from our direct operations (Scope 1 & 2) by 2030.
- A 90% reduction across our entire value chain (Scope 1, 2, & 3) by 2050.

- Offset: We invest in high-impact climate projects to balance our entire footprint.

Carbon Neutrality
In 2020, we achieved carbon neutrality, fully offsetting our CO2 footprint to ensure a net-zero impact. This means every piece in your collection is crafted with a carbon-invisible footprint. From the sourcing of raw materials to the end of its life cycle, 100% of the emissions tied to the creation of each piece are offset.
By 2022, we took it a step further by joining the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), setting two science-backed goals to align our GHG emissions reductions with climate science. These targets provide a clear roadmap for businesses to cut greenhouse gas emissions and help prevent the worst effects of climate change while ensuring sustainable growth.
The SBTi has officially approved our near-term targets. We are committed to:
- Reducing our scope 1 + 2 emissions by 42% by 2030
- Reducing our scope 1, 2, + 3 emissions by 90% by 2050

Since 2021, we have helped over 3,000 pre-loved pieces find new homes, including through our proud partnership with organizations that empower young people in need. These actions have prevented the equivalent of 12 tons of CO2e from entering our atmosphere and saved over 71,000 gallons of water.
